YNG Palm Beach pairs young professionals in YPO families with YPO members who mentor them directly, one-on-one or in small group cohorts. Real relationships, not a resume exchange.

One-on-one
A direct match: one mentor, one mentee, three sessions over three months.

A few times a year, a mentor sets a topic, leads it, and personally selects three to five applicants to join.
How it works, in short
- Reach out.Mentees apply to join, and mentors fill out an interest form. Either way, it starts with us hearing from you.
- Get matched, or get picked for a cohort.Track 1 is one direct match with a bio, no browsing. In Track 2, a mentor leads the cohort and personally selects three to five applicants to join from those who apply once it's announced.
- Meet.Three sessions of about an hour over three months. Structured enough to actually happen, loose enough to feel real.
Why this exists
Good mentorship comes down to trust built over real conversation, not advice handed over once and forgotten. That takes access to the right person, and enough structure to actually keep meeting. Most people don't have both on their own.
Reaching out and building that first connection is a skill that outlasts this program, useful with any mentor, YPO or not. It runs the other way too. Mentors get a real, close-up look at how the next generation actually thinks, not from a stage.
This isn't a job pipeline. It's a real relationship, not a resume exchange. Mentors are free to open a door if they want to. That's entirely their own call and never part of the deal. The formal ask ends at three months, but the relationship doesn't have to. Plenty of pairs catch up again on their own, months or years later, whenever paths actually cross.

We start with what's already in your profile on MyYNG, so keep it filled out and complete. That's what makes for a better match. You'll also get a short survey specific to the mentorship program itself: your goals and interests, the things your general profile doesn't already cover.
How we match
Not by who's free and who isn't. We match on what you're actually working on and how you like to work. Industry helps, but the kind of guidance you need matters more than a shared job title. Mentors are drawn from South Florida YPO chapters, not just Palm Beach, so your match might come from a nearby chapter. Every mentor already said yes to being considered, so the match is worth your first call.

What we'll ask of you
Schedule the sessions yourself. Send a short agenda a few days ahead. Set real goals, not vague ones. Show up, and do the work between meetings. We walk you through all of it before your first session.
- Confidentiality runs both ways: what's said between you and your mentor stays there.
- This isn't a job search. You won't ask your mentor for one during the program or for six months after it ends.
- Before anything's final, there's a quick 15-minute interview call, by phone or video. Either side can pass, no reason needed. Once you both say yes, the goal is all three sessions.
- On video, cameras on.
Prefer a small group over one-on-one?
Cohorts run a few times a year, each built around the mentor's own topic. The mentor leads it and picks who joins, no more than five people, from those who apply once it's announced. The kind of topics we'd expect: an AI workshop, an intro to real estate investing, negotiation 101. Nothing's on the calendar yet. Dates and topics will post in MyYNG once one's scheduled.

Our own chapter's program, not YPO's global YNG mentoring. Three months instead of six or twelve, on purpose. It's easier to fit around a business and a calendar like yours than an open-ended ask would be.
Two ways to take part

Why this matters
You already know what a good mentor did for you, maybe your own parent's generation, maybe someone else entirely. This is that, passed forward.
Fifteen minutes and three sessions isn't much to ask for the chance to watch someone get genuinely better at something because of a conversation you had with them. Most of what you're offering isn't advice. It's being someone who's already done the thing and is willing to say so plainly.
There's no pipeline on the other end of this. Your mentee has agreed not to ask you for anything beyond the conversation, so what you share and how much you open up is entirely your call. If a real connection is still there after three months, plenty of pairs keep going on their own, no formal ask required.

YNG Palm Beach is brand-new, and it runs on the same belief YPO always has: you get more out of this community than you put into it. You don't need a child in the program to be part of that. Fifteen minutes, a space, or something worth teaching is enough to start.

Have a son or daughter between 18 and 32?
Membership is open to the children of YPO members, ages 18 to 32, with full access to all four parts of the chapter from day one. Getting them in takes two quick steps, one from you and one from them.
- Enroll them in YNG International. If they aren't registered for this year yet, you'll do this in YPO Connect: your profile picture (top right), then My Account, then Purchase Benefits, and add your YNG-eligible children. Prefer not to use YPO Connect? You can download the enrollment form at yponextgen.org/enroll and send it to YPO Concierge instead. Already enrolled? Skip to step two.
- Send them our chapter application. They fill it out themselves, about five minutes, and chapter dues are paid in the same form.
- We take it from there. Our Chapter Chair reaches out for a welcome call and gets them set up in the chapter.

YNG Palm Beach is the local chapter of YPO Next Generation, sponsored by the YPO Palm Beach Gold Chapter. It was started this year by a small group of members so the next generation across Palm Beach County would have a chapter close to home, and it's shaped by what those members actually want.

YNG Palm Beach is the Palm Beach County chapter of YPO Next Generation, the community for the young adult children of YPO members. Here's what that means, who's in it, and how to be part of it.
Palm Beach County, with members from everywhere
Until this year, the closest YNG chapter was Miami. West Palm Beach and the county around it keep growing as a place to live, work, and spend time, and plenty of YPO families are part of that, so we started a chapter of our own.
That's why it isn't only for people who grew up here. Many members have family in the area, and join from other cities. Some live in Palm Beach County full time, some split the year, some come down for planned visits. The chapter is built for all of them. It follows the people, not a zip code.

What YPO is
YPO, the Young Presidents' Organization, was founded in 1950 for chief executives who reach the top of a business at a young age. Members belong to local chapters, grouped into 14 regions worldwide, and meet in confidential peer groups called Forum, where they talk openly about business, family, and life.
Beyond Forum, YPO brings its members learning, speakers, and a global network of peers. YNG, YPO Next Generation, extends that same community to members' young adult children, which is where we come in.
