About the chapter

Why this chapter exists, and why now.

The story behind YNG Palm Beach, and who's actually running it. Most people get here through someone who already knows them, if that's not you, introduce yourself instead, we'd still like to meet you.

Mentorship

Real access to the leaders who can actually help you get there.

One-on-one mentoring, matched to what you're actually working on. We cut out the guesswork, every mentor here already opted in, and we match on common ground too, not just professional fit. Your parents' YPO status got you here. From here, we equip you with the skills and the confidence to make your own connections, not solely rely on theirs, inside the greater YPO network or out.

Matched

Structured enough to actually happen, loose enough to feel real.

Why this exists

Good mentorship comes down to trust built over real conversation, not advice handed over once and forgotten. That takes access to the right person, and enough structure to actually keep meeting, most people don't have both on their own.

And because you're the one making the introduction, it's a skill you keep long after this program ends, useful with any mentor, YPO or not.

This isn't an informational interview with a job at the end of it. It's a real relationship, built around your growth, not your resume. Mentors are free to open a door if they want to, entirely on their own terms, but asking for one isn't part of the deal.

What it entails

Track 1

One-on-one

  • A shortlist of about three mentors, matched to your goals
  • Not the right fit? We'll go back to the network and find someone else
  • Three one-hour sessions over three months, on your own schedule
  • A check-in with the mentorship team after that, continue, switch, or step back
Email mentorship@yngpalmbeach.com
Track 2

Group cohorts

  • A few cohorts a year, each built around one topic. Two or three this year, growing toward around seven a year down the line
  • Purposely small, no more than five people
  • Apply to the cohort you want, the mentor has final say in who joins
  • Our mentorship team coordinates the schedule and the meetings for you
Members: See Upcoming Cohorts
None announced yet, cohort topics and dates will be posted in Connect IRL.
Matched on goals, not seniority · every mentor here opted in
Apply to Join

For members who want a mentor matched to what they're working on right now.

We start with what's already in your Connect IRL profile, so keep it filled out and complete, that's what makes for a better match.

How it works

1
Before you're matchedEmail us, apply, train
Email usmentorship@yngpalmbeach.com, and we'll send you the mentee application. Not a member yet? Apply first, it only takes the basics.
Fill out the applicationYour preferences: work style, meeting format, the kind of guidance you're looking for.
TrainWatch the Mentorship Intro session, recorded, watch anytime before your shortlist arrives.
2
Getting matchedSign on, get your shortlist, reach out
Sign onA short mentee agreement, what you're committing to, what you can expect back.
Get your shortlistAbout three mentors, each with a note on why they might fit what you're working on.
Reach outYou make the first move, that's part of the program, not a step we do for you.
3
The mentorship itselfMeet, then check in at three months
MeetThree one-hour sessions over three months, you set the agenda.
Check in A check-in with the mentorship team at the three-month mark, still deciding whether that's a real call or a quick survey. If you want to keep going and your mentor's up for it, you carry on from there on your own. Otherwise, request a new mentor, or take a break and come back whenever you're ready.

What we'll ask of you

Schedule the sessions yourself. Send a short agenda a few days ahead. Set real goals, not vague ones. Show up, and do the work between meetings. We walk you through all of it before your first session.

  • What's said between you and your mentor stays there.
  • This isn't a job search. You won't ask your mentor for one, during the program or for six months after it ends.
  • Before anything's final, you get one chemistry call. Either of you can walk away after it, no explanation needed.

For YPO members ready to help the next generation grow, in business, in leadership, in life. A professional system you can trust, no pressure beyond an intro call and three hours across three months.

Three one-hour sessions over three months. That's it, anything past that is up to you.

  • Matched on your industry, shared interests, and how much time you're able to give, not a random pairing.
  • One chemistry call comes first. Either of you can pass, no reason needed.
  • This isn't a job pipeline. Your mentee won't ask you for one. Plenty of mentors end up opening a door anyway, entirely on their own terms.
  • Say yes once, and if you're open to it you'll be considered for future cycles too. No obligation to say yes twice.

Forum

A room where everything stays in the room.

Forum is a small, consistent group where you can talk honestly about business, family, life, and everything in between, just like the Forums your YPO parents already know. Confidential, structured, and built around the conversations that don't happen anywhere else.

NothingtoNobody,Never

What's said in Forum stays exactly there. That's the whole rule.

6–8
people
Small enough that everyone actually talks. Confidential, always. Business decisions, family dynamics, relationships, uncertainty, what's working, what isn't, not a networking event or group therapy, a peer group built on trust and consistency.

Getting in

Common questions, answered

Who qualifies for YNG Palm Beach County membership?
Children of active YPO International members, ages 18–32, with a connection to Palm Beach County. The chapter is sponsored by YPO Palm Beach Gold Chapter and serves West Palm Beach, Boca, Fort Lauderdale, Delray, Jupiter, and Wellington.
What does membership cost?
An annual YPO International due, paid by the YPO parent through YPO Connect, plus a local chapter due (currently $495, plus a $14.95 admin fee), invoiced by the chapter team. Already an active YPO International YNG member? Only the local chapter due applies to you. Membership runs July 1 through June 30 and can be paid by ACH, credit card, check, or wire transfer.
Does my parent have to introduce me?
A warm introduction from a YPO parent or board member is the smoothest path, and that's how many members arrive. You can also reach us directly through the application form, and we'll set up a welcome call within 72 hours.
How does enrollment actually work?
It happens in two parts. First, your active YPO parent enrolls you through YPO Connect (profile picture, then My Account, then Purchase Benefits, then enroll YNG-eligible children). If you're not already a YNG International member, this is also where you become one first, it's required before joining a local chapter. You cannot enroll yourself at the global level. Second, you complete the membership application on this site and pay your local chapter due. The chapter team verifies your parent's YPO status, and your place is confirmed.
How many people are in the chapter?
The chapter is growing steadily, built by introduction first and then by direct inquiry. Members shape the community, mentorship, and leadership programming as the chapter takes shape.
What do members get?
Every member receives the local community, mentorship, and leadership offerings described across this site, plus a set of global benefits funded by YPO: the IVY for YPO learning platform, a Jobs and Internships portal, access to YPO Network events, the private global YNG platform, and YPO's official six-month Virtual Mentoring program. That global program is separate from the one-on-one mentoring we run locally in the chapter.

About

Why this chapter, and why now.

For a while, the nearest YNG chapter to Palm Beach was Miami. Close enough to hear about, far enough to feel like someone else's chapter. So earlier this summer, a small group of us stopped waiting for someone else to start the chapter and began building it ourselves.

What YPO and YNG actually are

YPO is a global community of chief executives across more than 140 countries. YNG, YPO Next Generation, is built for the adult children of YPO members to create their own network, relationships, and experiences within the broader YPO community. Locally, we're sponsored by the YPO Palm Beach Gold Chapter.

Why Palm Beach County, not one city

Our members are spread across Palm Beach County and South Florida, West Palm Beach, Boca, Palm Beach Gardens, Delray, Jupiter, Wellington, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, and beyond. We also have members who spend part of the year here from places like the Northeast.

The chapter follows the people, not a zip code.

New, and already real

Officially launching this fall and already approaching thirty members. It's never about how many, it's about who, and what they actually want. Every event gets built around our members' real interests, not a generic calendar. Join now, and you get full access to all four, Social, Learning, Forum, and Mentorship, plus a real hand in shaping what this chapter actually becomes.
